Our CoverLine and ClickLine safety edges are idea for the wide range of operating conditions seen on lifting platforms and tables.
Typically these applications will use 3 safety edges with two cables and one with an 8k2 Ohm resistor. The safety edges are connected in a single loop with the 8k2 version the last link in the loop, this is then monitored by one channel of the switching unit so that any obstruction is detected by any part of the circuit.
Usually, these applications will use a wired switching unit, such as EsMatix or ESD3 with a safety category 3 solution preferred. Often for these applications M12 connectors are fitted to make installation and maintenance easier to carry out.
In stage and theater applications, where the safety edges can be much longer than those used for gate installations, we work with the set designers to provide the most suitable solution. These systems can include safety edges that are fitted to curved lifts where it is important to make sure the bend radius meets the system requirements. This may also include us providing kit solutions to ensure the edges fit the installation correctly.
